I had planned to have spaghetti for dinner tonight.
While opening the jar of spaghetti sauce, I noticed the expiry date.
September 2008.
For crying out loud!
Last week I was making Hawaiian pizza for dinner and while opening the can of pineapple chunks I noticed that expiry date.
August 2007!!!
I think I had better work on rotating the stock in my pantry. . .

You're not alone. :)
Ha,ha,ha, I've got the same problem in the fridge. All my salad dressings were expired. Gotta find a way to clean out the fridge on a more regular basis :)
Can't wait to see ya!
I think we all have that problem from time to time Rosa. Hubby tends then to pooh, pooh, the whole expiry date and uses it anyway, depending, of course, what it is and how long it's been expired. 1year ?? a bit much!
LOL! I've done that.
I do that every once in awhile. I don't mind cleaning out the pantry much. It's the fridge I avoid for some reason...

I've lately been trying to avoid the grocery stores and "shop" in my freezer and pantry. I still have to buy dairy and fresh produce, but I'm whittling away at the rest and it feels good.
It probably saves money too. I'm sure I throw a lot of groceries into the garbage just because I don't feel like eating it until too late.
